The Ceylon Blue Oakleaf Kallima philarchus is a nymphalid butterfly found in Sri Lanka. With wings closed, it closely resembles a dry leaf with dark veins and is a spectacular example of camouflage.Sexes similar, but the apex of the female's forewing is more rounded.
Both in male and female when wings are open lower part of the wing is blue while upper part contains white and black.
Habitat: Heavy forestsDistribution: Wet zone rainforests and mountain forestsStatus: Endemic
