Noshika is a Sri Lankan actress active in the teledrama and movie industries. Noshika began her career winning the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World contest and went on to commercials before making it in the television and movie industries.Born to Sri Lankan parents, Noshika is the only child in the family. She studied at Methodist College in Colomboand participated in a broad range of extra-curricular activities. Excelling academically, Noshika considered a career in law prior to falling into acting.After winning the pageant "Models of the New Generation" hosted by Derana TV in 2006, Noshika was selected to represent Sri Lanka at the Tourism World contest.
After appearing in the TV commercials for Coca-Cola and Nestlé, she was asked to appear in the teledramaKindurangana, a remake for the Sri Lanka television market of the Hindi television serial Kasam Se. This was a joint venture between Balaji Telefilms of India and the Maharaja Organisation of Sri Lanka. Based on the popularity of her role, she became the face of LUX calendar in that year.
Noshika was then invited to take part in Sirasa Dancing Stars and went on to the finals of the show. Thereafter she appeared in many TV serials such asSandasakki, Ayal, Pingaladanauwwa. Noshika has been nominated as the most popular actress in both the Sumathi Awards and Raigam Awards.
Noshika entered the movie industry in 2009 playing one of the lead roles in the film Nino Live.Her second movie is a comedy, AddaLanuwa, DammaKodiyawhere she plays the female lead opposite Tennison Cooray.
